Tangerine Apps collaborated with Twitter to create the first virtual reality live stream on Periscope for Cars 3 fans. The outcome was a two hour broadcast and over 1 million active interacting live users. Our broadcast at any one time had over 100,000 active users interacting with live hosts and our team members controlling the virtual claws. 2 million hearts and another 1 million have watched the replay.

 

Periscope participants could generate hearts on their mobile phones to actively drive Paper craft race cars around the track. Our team of announcers could live comment the broadcast the same as any live sports telecast. Reading users comments on screen and changing the outcome of the events.

 

Twitter's Periscope engineers worked with us to change the base functionality of their App to accommodate the needs of our broadcast experience.
